"Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God."
I spent my career as a professional educator, with over 30 years of experience in public education, but that’s not why I write.
Since I was in my 20s, I have journaled insights that came to me as a read the Bible or other books. I still have a drawer full of spiral notebooks filled with ideas insights, trains of thought, and study notes.
In my later years, I have been sharing some of these trains of thought that I feel might be of interest to others. I especially have a desire to provide good quality resources to people in cultures outside of the American, English-speaking, Christian culture.
I was inspired to do this partly because of a visit to a very large, multi-story bookstore in Berlin, Germany. In contrast to the American Christian culture, where whole bookstore chains are devoted to Christian resources, in this bookstore, (after quite a bit of searching,) I found the Christian book shelf (not section) lumped in with every other religion. On that Christian bookshelf, there were three Bibles and a smattering of what might loosely be called “Christian” books with plenty of room to spare on the shelf.
That was it!
How could anyone really develop their knowledge and progress in the Christian faith if that was all they had access to?
(Ok, stepping off of my soapbox now.)
As a teacher, I understand that people learn in a variety of ways, through a variety of media, techniques, approaches and presentation methods. My goal is to communicate timeless principles of Truth and Wisdom in the most effective means possible, in a variety of formats, in order to maximize the benefit for each individual who may be engaged in the content.
