Three Transforming Experiences - Part 7
You can also look to the Ark of the Covenant to discover what it will be like when you experience the third transformation because when you enter into this experience, you will become a living Ark of the Covenant.
In Moses’ time, the Ark of the Covenant contained three things. Inside the Ark were the tables of stone that Moses brought down from the mountain, a golden pot of manna that never spoiled, and the rod of Aaron.
The tables of stone represent God’s covenant with man.
The golden pot of manna that never spoiled represents the living Word of God.
The rod of Aaron represents the authority of God.
When you enter into this third transforming experience, you carry in your body the fullness of the covenant of God. Healing, deliverance, and life emanate from you to impact those around you. You carry the Living Word in your body. You carry the abiding, manifested presence of Almighty God in your body with His authority.
The Philistines once captured the Ark of the Covenant. The story of their experience illustrates what it is like to carry the manifested presence of God with His authority.
“After the Philistines captured the Ark of God, they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the town of Ashdod. They carried the Ark of God into the temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon.”—1 Samuel 5:1-2 (NLT)
Can you imagine what that day must have been like for the demons who inhabited this idol called Dagon? They had just been going about their business, deceiving people into worshiping this false god when all of a sudden, the one true God Almighty, the Creator and Ruler of the universe came into the room! They must have been absolutely terror-stricken!
If the Philistines had been tuned in to the spirit realm, they probably would have heard those deceiving spirits screaming in sheer agony and terror. That is how the demons reacted when Jesus showed up during His ministry on Earth. Do you remember?
“And when He arrived at the other side in the country of the Gadarenes, two men under the control of demons went to meet Him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce and savage that no one was able to pass that way. And behold, they shrieked and screamed, What have You to do with us, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come to torment us before the appointed time?”—Matthew 8:28-29 (AMPC)
Face to face with the manifested presence of God Almighty, this (supposedly) great god of the Philistines had no choice but to bow in acknowledgement of the One True God.
“But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the Lord!”—1 Samuel 5:3 (NLT)
This is what it looks like when the manifested presence of God comes into the room with His authority.
It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”—Romans 14:11 (NIV)
But the Philistines seemed to be slow learners. Maybe they thought the wind had blown the idol down onto its face.
“So they took Dagon and put him in his place again.”
“But the next morning the same thing happened—Dagon had fallen face down before the Ark of the Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were lying in the doorway. Only the trunk of his body was left intact.”—1 Samuel 5:3-4 (NLT)
To emphasize the fact that was no accident, the head and hands of the “mighty” god of the Philistines were broken off by a truly mighty force that was greater than Dagon. That was enough for the Philistines.
If the Philistines had set Dagon upright again, perhaps he would have been pulverized into dust the third time he fell on his face, leaving no doubt about Who was truly the All-Powerful One.
This experience with the Ark of the Covenant shows us what it is like to carry the fullness of the presence of God Almighty with His authority. Demons and deceptions will have to bow and acknowledge the One True God. This is what Jesus experienced, and this will be your experience as well when you enter into the fullness of the Feast of Tabernacles and experience transfiguration.
