A Deeper Dive Into the Book of Revelation - Part 56

On February 11, 1961, William Branham spoke at a Full Gospel Businessmen’s meeting in Los Angeles, California. After the meeting, a young man named Danny Henry came up to meet Brother Branham and to express appreciation for the message he brought.

Mr. Henry asked if he could pray for Brother Branham. Shortly after he began praying, his language changed into something other than English. He was standing close enough to the microphone so that everyone in the room could hear him as he prayed.

When he finished praying, Mr. Henry seemed surprised, as if he had not understood what just happened. Someone asked him, “What language was that?” Mr. Henry replied that he didn’t know what language he had spoken.

A lady from Switzerland recognized the language as French. She stood up and asked Mr. Henry how he had learned such a peculiar French dialect.

Mr. Henry told her that he didn’t know any French.

Another man from Belgium stood and confirmed that the language was French.

Then a native Frenchman, who worked as a translator for the United Nations, also confirmed that the language was French and that he had understood every word.

Brother Branham asked each French speaker to sit down separately and write down the words of the message that they heard Mr. Henry speak.

When they compared all three versions, they matched, word for word, even down to the punctuation.

These are the words of that prophecy:

“Because thou hast chosen the narrow path, the harder way, which thou hast walked of thy own choosing, thou hast picked the correct and precise decision, and it is My Way. Because of this momentous decision, a huge portion of heaven awaits thee. What a glorious decision thou hast made. This in itself is that which will give, and make come to pass, the tremendous victory in love divine.”

At that time, Brother Branham had less than five years to live. He had lived the life of an overcomer, and he could say with the Apostle Paul,

“I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”—2 Timothy 4:6-8 (KJV)

The Overcomer’s Throne

Decades later, Rick Joyner had an experience that he documented in his book, The Final Quest. In Rick’s experience, he was guided from the outskirts of Heaven all the way to the thrones of the Overcomers who were seated with Jesus Christ in His throne, as we’re promised in Revelation 3:21:

“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (NKJV)

When Rick reached the glorious thrones of the Overcomers, he encountered the Apostle Paul and others, and then he looked up to see William Branham in a high place of honor among the Overcomers. Rick writes about his encounter with William Branham in a section titled, “Meeting the Evangelist.”

Looking at William Branham, Rick could feel the genuine love and humility in this man. Then, turning to the Lord, Rick could see how much the Lord loved Brother Branham.

Rick was not allowed to speak to Brother Branham at that time. The Lord led Rick past the throne and said,

“I just wanted you to see him here,” the Lord explained, “and to understand the position that he has with Me. There is much for you to understand about him. He was a messenger to My last-day church, but the church could not hear him for reasons that you will understand in due time. He did fall into discouragement and delusion for a time, and his message was distorted. It must be recovered, as well as the parts that I have given to others which were also distorted.” (Joyner, p. 76)

As we continue to dive deeper into the Revelation of Jesus Christ, we will examine more of the messages delivered by William Branham, as well as revelations that God has given to His Church since the time of Brother Branham’s ministry.

William Branham lived the life of an Overcomer, striving always to have a conscience void of offense toward God and people. He is now enjoying the incredible rewards of the Overcomers that are briefly described in the letters to the seven churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3.

These amazing promises are available to any one of us who truly desires to obtain them and is willing to do whatever it takes to live victoriously in obedience to Christ. For the person who overcomes, the promised blessings are waiting.

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’”—1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
